Manor Farm Alderton is owned by the Badminton Estate and tenanted by Jeffrey and Victoria Lippiatt, previously the farm was owned by Jeffrey’s father John who took an early retirement and sold everything to the late Duke of Beaufort, in hindsight probably not the best of moves. To own such an asset for most would be the favoured option nowadays!

The farm is now mostly arable totaling approximately 550 acres. The farm buildings once upon a time were filled to the rafters with firstly a dairy herd and then in later years a beef cattle enterprise. BSE (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy or Mad Cow Diseaese) hit the UK in the 1990’s which saw the face of farming at Manor Farm change significantly, though our stock were not directly affected - almost overnight the barns were emptied and the farming business concentrated on crops.
